A traditional and well-run 20th International German Masters

Krefeld - 151 players of 20 nations had a great international ESF-Masters-tournament of the 2017/2018 circuit in the West of Germany last weekend (September 29th - October 1st) and everyone collected their ESF-ranking points.

Home nation Germany took the advantage by achieving 5 gold medals in the three-day-event, followed by Sweden with 2 and South Africa, Italy, Czech Republic and England with 1 gold medal each.

"We saw again how sport can easily connect people from many different regions and nations. Matches full of fairplay and respect on a good level found an good ending at a great event held here in Germany, Krefeld", said Störte Becker, Vice-President Masters of German Squash Federation at ending of tournament.

The winners in the 11 categories are as the following:

Men 45+ Florian Pößl (Germany)

Men 50+ Fredrik Johnson (Sweden)

Men 70+ Desmond Sacco (South Africa)

Women 40+ Katja Leuschner (Germany)

Women 45+ Denisa Linhartova (Czech Republic)

Women 50+ Felicitas Haustein (Germany)

Thanks a lot for your support and I hope we will organize also a great event next year in Hamburg 5th -7th October 2018. There we have 15 Courts including a Glass court.
