We are happy, very happy with the 2018 edition of OPORTO SQUASH MASTERS GRAND PRIX.

Players from 23 countries competed in the 11 categories, during the 3 days of the competition.

A team of 5 referees helped in the more than 300 matches played.

Oporto Squash Masters was a good competition at all levels, with good environment, and lots of fun, specially during the traditional tournament dinner.

We had four hard finals. In M60+ the English Alen Barwise beat in 5 sets the Dutch Ad Heskes, in M45+ the Swiss Daniel Oeschger beat also in 5 sets the Spanish Francis Molina and in M40+ the Irish Neil Macarron beat  3-2 the Croation Domagoj Spoljar. In the ladies tournament W45+ Karin Thiel beat Denisa Linhartova in a great match.

4 enseeded players won their age group, which means that new good players are joining the European Masters Circuit.

In the final speech Claudio Hassler, from the Masters Committee, asked for an applause not only for the winners but also for those who never win, but are an important part of the Circuit.
