German Junior Open 2019

Last weekend the German Junior Open took place in Sportwerk Hamburg.

 


 

The squashcenter with 14 traditional courts and a glasscourt is located in Hamburg, Germany.

Almost 250 juniors competed over 4 days for the title.With a lot of positive feedback from all participants, the event was a great success.

The Girls Under 19 title went to Alina Bushma. She lost only one game in the whole tournament. In the final, she overcame Evie Coxon from England (3-0).

The Boys Under 19 champion from last year, Yannick Wilhelmi was able to successfully defend his title. In the final he beat Sam Buckley from Ireland in three games.

With participants from nations all over the world, the event keeps growing in size importance.

“We are very thankful for all the positive feedback and the ever increasing amount of players. We continue to do our utmost best to make the tournament even better next year! We hope to see you all again in 2020. Even better and stronger!” Were the words of a happy and proud tournament director Bart Wijnhoven.
